Week 7 Bucs Post (vs. St. Louis, W 18-17)

So, that could have gone better. I saw this game as an easy win, but it took some last-second heroics from Josh Freeman and company to get the job done.
Two big positives from this game overshadow that fact that Tampa almost managed to lose to the freaking Rams. The first one, which we caught a glimmer of in the Steelers game, is how incredibly fun it is to watch LaGarrette Blount run. The man has something special, and I'm super-happy to see him getting more chances to shine.
The other positive is seeing once again how very poised Josh Freeman is under pressure. The man just gets the job done. Period.
I think part of his growth this season is just due to experience, but I know that his arsenal of young targets (Mike Williams, Sammie Stroughter, Cadillac Williams, and, on occasion, Arrelious Benn) has made a big difference. After having to depend on head-case Michael Clayton and petulant Antonio Bryant last season, Freeman now gets to throw to a guy like Mike Williams. There's trust there that I think makes everyone better.
Arizona will be an important game on Sunday. The league is pretty crazy this year... You never know what's going to happen next...
