Bunnies! (The Bonding Continues...)

So, I've decided to give the ol' bonding thing another go. This is partly motivated by the unparalleled adorableness of 3-bunny snuggle piles, as well as by the fact that I would like to get all three rabbits living in the same place. Things started out rocky when I brought them out on the grass to bond, but it's been going a bit better up on the porch. Probably the best part of all is that there hasn't been any spraying (yet). Here's some shots of Day 2 of Porch Bonding (Day 4 of Bonding: Phase Two), which I think went pretty well. Here the guys are successfully ignoring each other:

At the same time, Rico was resting on the other side of the pen:
There was still a little fighting, but it seemed to be much more in a boundary-establishing way than in a hostile way. I wasn't sure at first whether or not to involve Pedro, since the main fighting is between Rico and Charley, but Pedro makes a huge difference for Charley. Charley gets SO worked up around Rico, and he has no way to calm down on his own. With his friend Pedro there, he can smoosh himself between Pedro and the fence until he's feeling calmer. Pedro's been a good sport about it, too, and it was great seeing Rico stop attacking him (as he had done a few times on the lawn) and start grooming him (which he did about 4 times yesterday). A few indoor pictures to wrap up this post. Charley loves grocery day. Here he is after discovering the main stash:
Here's Pedro, all tuckered out and playing dead...
... and lounging in his favorite spot alone while Charley is off running around:
And a few more shots of my toothless lops snuggling... as they do.
If that's not love, I don't know what is...
